Photography
This some photography from a different project I've been working on called Screen Sound. ScreenSound is an innovative multi-art form film based project developed by the University of Ulster's School of Creative Arts, to be offered to four secondary level schools in the NW during the Autumn term in 2010.. All of these photographs are just my documentation of that project but I think some of them fit really well with the movement brief.

Photography
So this awful weather we're having has put a stop to any of the photography ideas I had for different areas around Galway which is really unfortunate but I have moved on from these Ideas and picked one of the themes on which to base my new photography.
I've gone for is..
Shape/Form
Approach the theme in any way that makes sense to you. But if you're looking for inspiration, consider the following possible interpretations of the concept shape/form:

Shape/Form
Approach the theme in any way that makes sense to you. But if you're looking for inspiration, consider the following possible interpretations of the concept shape/form:
- The total effect produced by the outlines of a thing
- The outward aspect or appearance (esp. apart from colour) of a body or thing
- A person or thing as seen, especially indistinctly or in the imagination
- The mode in which a thing exists or manifests itself
- The essential nature of a species or thing
- A definite or proper arrangement
- A printed document with blank spaces to be inserted
You can take a look at what I taken so far, on my flickr page ( its just way easier to upload all the pics there).
They are all photographs of my fathers origami, a new hobby/obsession of his. It's unbelievable the pieces he is making and I just think they are amazing. Some of the have up to 30 different pieces of paper and take hours to make and just think that the fact that these forms are made from folded pieces of paper is brilliant! I've had a go at it myself and it's really quite enjoyable.
So I wanted photograph the pieces in a different way, from different angles, using different lighting, backgrounds etc and play with the photography itself, ie the depth of field, appature etc.
I'm quite happy with some of the shots I've come out with, going to edit a few and play about with them, see what else I can get out of them!

Photography
Here are a few photographs that I've taken so far for the photography brief. Really enjoying this so far. I'm still unsure which category I'm going to go with so I'm just experimenting so far with my images. I really want to wait until I get home to Galway to take most of my pictures, there's a few spots down there that I think would really work well.
