Next Project: Unicef Street Children Campaign

For the next project I've decided to do with the brief from creative tap.

The brief is to create a flash banner to help support UNICEF's Street Children Campaign.

Here are some web banners that are already out there.

Web banners tend to be pretty simple they have a message they want to get across as easily as possible. The message here to let people know how some children live their lives and how the public can help. So I think it needs a strong tag line, something to catch peoples attention.

Imagery is going to be important, I would like to try a few sketches and vectors of street children but I think photographs would have a stronger impact than an illustration of a child.

Here are some pictures of street children and an orphanage that I got off a friend who is teaching in Nigeria at the moment.

These first few are of street children in Nigeria, selling anything to get some food. The one above is of a man preaching the kuran to the children.

These other pictures are from an orphanage and a school for street children. The picture above is supposed to be the toilet. :( There are so many awful images of street children online it's hard to imagine this kind of thing goes on.

Pictures supplied by Edel Gilhooly.
